Appraisal Tools

Redbumper is a Smartphone centric application giving us unparalleled flexibility when it comes to the in-store appraisal process. Depending on the store's needs, we can set up our system to accommodate your current store process or we can create a new one.
Upon the scan of a VIN using a Smartphone or via entry from a desktop portal, the appraiser is instantly given every data point needed to make an intelligent decision. Wholesale value guides from BlackBook , NADA and KBB are displayed as well as vehicle history reports from CarFax or AutoCheck. Auction data is also displayed down to trim level so the appraiser has an apples to apples comparison.
If a vehicle has a 65 day market turn time and an 85 current day supply, it's not a vehicle the appraiser would want to be aggressive with unless it could be acquired well under the market value.  On the other hand, a unit with a 20 day turn time and 25 current day supply is one to be aggressive with.  This type of information gives the appraiser confidence that he is putting the right money on the right vehicles.
The true value of a vehicle is what we know we can sell it for, not necessarily what it's bringing in at the auction. Redbumper will instantly display its proprietary Market IQ to the appraiser, offering instant market value analytics.
What are competitors currently pricing this vehicle at in the marketplace?
What are local market turn times and current day supply?
What is the market profit per day on this vehicle?
Some of these critical data points are not available anywhere else and are exclusive to RedBumper.
Upon scan or portal entry we also display the dealership's historical performance with specific comparisons down to trim level.
How fast has the dealership historically turned this vehicle?
How many does it currently have in stock?
How much has it been able to retail or wholesale the unit for in the last 30-45 days?
Based on in-depth analytics, does the dealership have a current need for the unit or is it at
maximum stocking level for an optimal turn?
We offer Smartphone Entry for Sales People
A sales person can download our application on his Smartphone and scan a customer's VIN to start the appraisal process. He can snap a few pictures and enter the customer's information. The appraisal alert is instantly sent to the appraiser. All he needs to do is click on the alert, analyze all the data points and put a number on the vehicle. Customer appraisal forms and lender bookout sheets can then be generated.
We offer Service Writer Entry
A dealer's service drive is one of the most fertile sources of inventory. Most dealerships have never tapped into this incredible goldmine that is right under their roof. With our system, the Service Writers can download our application “Free of Charge”. As customers bring their vehicles in for service they can be offered a free 10 day offer on their vehicle. We can even integrate our SmartLot product to only target desired vehicles for your lot or market.
Once a Service Writer scans a VIN we can immediately retrieve the customer's records from the DMS if he is an existing customer of the dealership. The Writer simply snaps a few pictures with his Smartphone and fills out a mini condition report. Once the appraisal is submitted, the Used Car Manager or appraiser is immediately alerted that a Service Drive appraisal is in que. He simply clicks on the link and sees all the data he needs to put a value on the vehicle.
The Service Writer is alerted when the appraisal is ready. He can then log into our system and print an appraisal/offer sheet to give the customer.
Appraiser Performance
We track the performance of the appraiser as well. What is his close ratio compared to others in the industry? Of the trades won, how did the store perform with the vehicles? Did they sell at retail or wholesale? What did the store make on the entire transaction considering the new car sell and trade disposition?
Appraisers hold perhaps the most critical role in the dealership. 90% of customers don't buy from a dealership because they feel they were not offered enough money for their trade. As a result, the dealership must know whether the appraiser is making good decisions. The Appraiser Performance Report is a real-time monitoring system that insures the store is capitalizing on every trade-in opportunity brought to the table.
